      Gift Shop Supervisor

We have a growing number of loyal customers as well as good relationships with suppliers. A vacancy exists for a supervisor to run this section, which also includes the Christmas season sales area. The role is for a minimum of 3 days per week and involves weekend working

      Head Cook

      We are looking for an innovative chef to develop menus and prepare exciting meals fresh each day. The role includes supervising the kitchen team, on a 10-day fortnight basis. This job will involve both weekday and weekend working.

      Gardener (Grade I)

      We are recruiting for a full-time gardener to work in Waterperry's famous gardens. This is a great opportunity to work within our dedicated team. The role will require experience/ ability with hedgecutting and mowing using heavy equipment.

      General Horticulturalist (Grade I)

      We are recruiting to this varied all-round role working across all our horticultural departments. This full-time position will rotate according to season and departmental need, and covers the Gardens, Nursery, and Fruit sections. This will also provide a support function to the teaching department for plot maintenance, and classroom setup activities.

      Retail Assistant

      A vacancy will shortly arise for a full-time retail assistant to work in both our Garden Shop and Gift Shop. This position will involve weekend working on alternate weekends, on a 10-day fortnight rota. The assistant will ideally have retail experience, preferably in a similar environment.

      Horticultural Apprentice

      We are currrently recruiting for an apprentice to learn the full range of horticultural skills in conjunction with study at a college for a period of at least 1 year.       Administration Assistant

      A position as Admin Assistant has arisen involving working 1 day per week on general administration, including dealing with post, telephone and email enquiries, dealing with some email corresponce, filing, and some liaison activities related to events run by the business.

      Waterperry House staff vacancies

      Member of Household staff

      This position involves the following duties:  finishing off household washing; preparing laundry for collection; tidying laundry areas; checking rooms throughout the house; sorting lost property, and would be for 4 days per month. In addition, each Friday, arranging flowers in the main areas;tidying and clearing flower room, cleaning out hoovers, and other restocking duties.

      The rate is £7 per hour, depending on experience.
