The Gallery at Waterperry is seeking a part-time Assistant.
Initially working Sundays but with flexibility to work occasional other days.
The right candidate will be reliable and flexible, ideally with some retail experience.
An interest in Art and Crafts would be an advantage.

To manage the plant nursery team. To oversee the production and marketing of a wide range of hardy nursery stock including mostly herbaceous plants.
To oversee the production and marketing of hardy plants in the nursery. This will include: Propagation, liner production, growing on and marketing to our plant centre. Propagating stock from seed, cuttings, division and other methods as required. To plan and maintain the living catalogue stock beds. To manage a small team of staffTo be involved in choosing the range of plants grown and drawing up production requirements.To record costs and monitor income of plant production. Accomodation possible.
Formal Qualification General education and preferably some horticultural qualifications
Knowledge Horticultural knowledge essential
Experience Horticultural experience essential including propagation and hardy nursery stock growing
Skills Good communication skills,
Other Qualities Honesty and integrity, attention to detail whilst undertaking routine tasks
Motivation Self motivated
Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding job and therefore it requires good health and no back problems
