Waterperry plays host to a number of different attractions and events throughout the year, from outdoor theatre to Art in Action, guided walks and high teas to Apple weekend.  You can pick up a copy of our latest Events Diary from the Garden Shop.

Summer Concert in the Amphitheatre

31st July

Join us for a relaxed concert of classical music in our outdoor amphitheatre performed by the Piatti Quartet.

The members are Charlotte Scott and Michael Trainor on violin, David Wigram on viola and Jessie Richardson on cello and their programme will be Mozart's Quartet in C, K465, 'Dissonance'; Debussy's String Quartet in G minor and Brahms Quartet no 1 in C minor.

There's a 75 minute interval to allow you to have a picnic in the ornamental garden and experience the magic of Waterperry on a summer's evening.

Gates open at 5.30pm and cushions will be available.

Tickets are NON-refundable and the concert will go ahead except in extreme weather conditions.

The event runs form 6pm to approximately 9pm.

Adult tickets cost £15. Concessions, students and children aged 16 and under £12.

Children's Theatre in the Gardens - The Secret Garden

5th August

Gates open at 5pm for a 6pm performance.

Join us for another family classic as Heartbreak Productions return with The Secret Garden - a magical story about a young orphan girl who finds a whole new world hidden in the grounds of her new home.

No seating is provided so please bring your own picnic chairs or blankets. The show will run approximately 2 hours including a 15 to 20 minute interval.

Gates open an hour before the performance for picnics in the gardens. Tickets are NON-refundable and the performance will go ahead except in severe weather conditions.

Tickets: Adults £12. Concessions, students and children aged 16 and under £7.50.

Michaelmas Daisy Weekend

The herbaceous border alive with Asters

18th September to 19th September

Come and see our famous herbaceous border in all its late summer glory as it springs into life again with beautiful Michaelmas Daisies (Asters).

Our nursery experts will be on hand to offer halp and advice about growing Asters and plenty of Waterperry-grown varieties on sale too.

Enjoy our country food and crafts fair in the plant centre (free admission) and the Friends of Waterperry plant sale (Saturday only).  

Entrance fee applies for visits to the ornamental gardens.  

Bacon butty breakfasts available in the Teashop from 9.30am adn hot food is available between 12 and 3pm.

The gardens and plant centre will be open until 5.30pm.

Gardens open in aid of the National Gardens Scheme

19th September

All entrance money for the ornamental gardens will be donated to the National Gardens Scheme (NGS) on this day.

It's a great chance to see our border in all its late summer glory, knowing that your money will be donated to the NGS.

The charity will then donate the money to nursing, carign and gardening charities of their choice.

Autumn Wild Walk and Breakfast

23rd September

Join our wildlife expert Ernie Bingham on a walk around the ornamental gardens spotting autumn visitors.

This will be followed by a hearty breakfast in the Teashop and slide show of the more elusive Waterperry wildlife residents!

Numbers are limited and children must be accompanied by an adult. Meet in the main car park adn bring binoculars and appropriate clothing!

Adult tickets £17.50. Concessions, students and children aged 16 and under £12.50.
