DESCRIPTION:The gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of textile art inspired by Waterperry Gardens. We are showcasing a new body of work by local artist Rachel Wright following a year long project that captures the essence of Waterperry through her intricate machine-embroidered artworks. Rachel will continue her work through to December and will be demonstrating her techniques in the gallery on the final Thursday of each month for the rest of the year(not December\, date to be confirmed). \nThe exhibition will also feature work by invited guest artists with a focus on the botanical and all things fabulously floral. \nThe exhibition opens on Saturday 19th September\, please do join us and meet Rachel from 2.30pm in the gallery. The show continues through to Sunday November 1st.

DESCRIPTION:For this one weekend\, on Saturday and Sunday from 11.30am until 2.30pm you and your family will have the opportunity to see real reindeer here at Waterperry Gardens. \nYou will be able to get very close and take photos of these beautiful creatures (from the safety of our fencing). \nKnowledgeable handlers will be there to share insightful facts and information about these magical animals with you and the children\, getting you in the mood for the Christmas period. \nPlease be aware these are live animals and are unpredictable. It is unlikely you will be able to touch or feed them. \nThere is no need to book\, but do dress appropriately for the English weather and at busy times expect to queue. \nAdults will have to pay the low-season garden entry to see the reindeer\, and children must be accompanied by an adult. \nReindeer2Hire is a family run business based in ‘Oxfordshire’ and born out of a passion for sharing these beautiful animals with the public to enthral and to educate. Every one of our reindeer is truly loved and cared for to the highest standard. The reindeer live with us for their entire lives on our countryside farm near Oxford. \nWaterperry Gardens has the highest regard for all creatures and we would not be hosting this event if we had any doubts about the way these reindeer are treated and the quality of their lives.

DESCRIPTION:Our approach to the study of Sacred Geometry seeks to reveal the interconnectedness of life and spirit: the physical and the spiritual\, the inner and the outer\, the individual and the universal. We will undertake the practical drawing of a variety of geometric patterns and perhaps discover something unexpected. \nGalileo wrote that the language of the universe was written in the characters of mathematics and geometrical figures. Leonardo da Vinci came to understand that geometry was the language which nature used to write her laws. Drawing with compass and straightedge is also a unique creative activity\, described by H. E. DESCRIPTION:Natural Law and the Just Society\nJoin with Dr Joseph Milne\, Honorary Lecturer at the University of Kent and Editor of Land & Liberty\, to explore key ideas from his new book Natural Law and the Just Society\, due for publication in September 2026. \nThe natural law tradition is rooted in understanding that human society has a place within the universe as a whole. Just as the universe has a natural order that is balanced and just\, so does human society. When a society conforms to its own real nature\, it can flourish and attain its proper end of prosperity and justice for all. \nThis view of a natural social order was central to ancient political and economic theory\, ranging from Hesiod\, through Greek philosophy and Roman jurisprudence to medieval theology. The philosophy of natural law has always held a special place and informed Western understanding of justice and the good society. \nSociety can be seen as a single body with different functions that should work harmoniously together. Economics with Justice can be seen as an expression of this natural harmony.
