We’re excited to announce that our Museum of Rural Life will have been open for 25 years on 10th & 11th May 2025.
To celebrate this amazing milestone, our group of amazing volunteers are hosting a weekend of fun and informative displays.
- We will have Horse and Cart rides throughout the weekend with a lunchtime talk about the history of the breeds! The Suffolk Punches are category A Rare Breed and there will be a Percheron and a Boulonnais.
- Hide & Seek Game for the children and plant a seed
- Why not test your knowledge in our Museum Quiz for the chance to WIN a pair of day passes to Waterperry Gardens
- VE DAY & WLA Presentation, including WLA blanket created by local crafters
- Museum Store room SALE with lots of historic and bespoke items to purchase on the day
- Vintage displays, including Lawn Mowers & Kitchen Aids
- Blacksmith demonstration (Sunday only)
