Wildlife At Waterperry

Whilst you are enjoying the gardens, or perhaps elsewhere in the grounds at Waterperry you are most likely to come across a great variety of wildlife, depending on the season and time of day.

This is a list of what has been seen here (let us know if you find anything else):

Mammals: Muntjac and Roe deer; hares, rabbits, voles, woodmice, harvest mice, moles, stoats, weasels, otter, mink, water voles, foxes, badgers

Amphibians: grass snakes, frogs, toads

Insects: numerous including Stag beetles, ladybirds, hover flies, cockchafers, dragonflies, damsel flies, brimstone, mayflies, and several types of butterfly

Aquatics: Signal crayfish, pike, stickleback, tench, roach
