Versatile evergreen shrub with lustrous, dark green leaves and small clusters of red-purple flowers in April and May, followed by large, bright red berries. This compact Japanese laurel is perfect for a small shady spot, tolerant of dry shade and urban pollution. Very tolerant of aspect from full sun to full shade and any good well-drained soil. Height and spread 1.5m.
