About our Double Bill: Acis & Galatea • Dido & Aeneas
This will be a sublime evening in the Waterperry Amphitheatre, after all: this is space in which our festival began 6 years ago. With our very first double bill production this year expect two love stories, two tragedies, both fighting the eternal struggle between light and darkness.
Delight in the music of Handel and Purcell with a superbly talented professional cast and orchestra. Our brand new production will evolve as the evening darkens, think Bloomsbury Group takes a dark Gothic turn.

About the Festival
We’re the opera festival with a difference… Not just grand opera, but family fun & entertainment too over 10 days across the Waterperry Estate. Ox In A Box described us as “So much a part of Oxfordshire’s summer calendar it is hard to imagine a time when it wasn’t around.” And the Telegraph said it was an opportunity to “hear some of the great singers of the future before anyone else.” So to find out what we have in store this year take a look at our daily schedule page https://www.waterperryoperafestival.co.uk/schedule.html where you can view the entire line up and book your tickets.
