About Vivaldi’s Four Seasons
The perfect aperitif before an evening of opera, come and witness a sublime performance set within the magnificent gardens here at Waterperry. This will be the very best in young talent – dancers in perfect balance and poise, perfectly choreographed to match Vivaldi’s masterpiece of musical expression for each season of the year.
Last year our collaboration garnered rave reviews, with Daily Info calling it “a perfect combination of music and dance” and Opera Scene it was an “extra treat…cleanly interpreted and executed” so expect a very special performance this year!
This production is a collaboration between contemporary dance students from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and young local musicians from Oxfordshire, who will be pairing up with mentors from our Waterperry Ensemble.

About Carmen
This production will showcase some of the UK’s most outstanding young operatic talent, alongside our 2023 Young Artists and the acclaimed Waterperry orchestra in a powerful, modern vision of Bizet’s Carmen.
Carmen‘s drive to live freely and independently brings her into deadly conflict with the world of male violence and control, as those who desire her seek to destroy her.
This will be performed in our purpose-built 500-seater outdoor theatre which is set on the Waterperry Front Lawn. The grand house façade creates the perfect backdrop for an evening high drama and sublime opera. Action takes place from 6:30pm in daylight and is transformed as the sun sets and the night grips the drama, and our heartstrings!
